Artist's Description

This house, known as the Ossorno House, is one of the oldest surviving buildings in the Vieux Carre. It actually seems to have been originally built at Bayou St. John, and then dismantled and moved to the old city around 1780. It is in the old French colonial style - a combination of styles from French Canada and the French Carribean.
